A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”

We are made for love. First and foremost, we are to be loved by God and to love him in return. It is the love of God that enables us to love others, which Jesus said was equally important to loving God. It is through experiencing the love of God within a loving community that we are transformed into a people who are better able to love God and love others. This cycle continues and expands to include more and more people, until the whole world is full of the love and glory of God. That is our mission....
